The Day We’ve Been Waiting For
News October 16th, 2010
Not us, of course!
Today is a special day for Yus and her future husband (this was written prior to the solemnization. Time: 10:07 AM). At 5:30 AM, my wife and I sped off to LCCT airport right after Subh prayer and arrived exactly 1 hour before departure time. We had to leave our cutie pies behind – Sakeenah and Aneesah.
Come to think of it, after a long while, my wife and I haven’t been able to go back to Kelantan. With two kids still young and vulnerable, it was the only logical option we could make. When we were about to leave, Sakeenah and Aneesah were still sleeping soundly. We kissed them goodbye and left at once.
We arrived at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kelantan on time and even had the chance to grab breakfast from a nearby restaurant, alhamdulillah. Prior to that, we went to get the rental car – a Perodua Viva via JW Car Rental. I can’t remember how much we paid for the rental (such short term memory!) but I guess it was within RM60 – RM70 range. Anyway, we arrived safely at Masjid Langgar and here are a few pictures taken:

We have just reached Tok Ayah and Mok‘s house in Kota Bharu after attending Yus & Zul’s akad nikah. The solemnization went out smooth and quickly – no attempt from the Imam to question the bridegroom’s knowledge on rukun nikah, aqidah, and the like. Here are a few captures of the event:
Congratulations to Yus & Zul! Baarakallahu lakuma wa baaraka a’laikuma wa jama’a bainakuma filkhair. Amiin. Semoga kebahagiaan berkekalan hingga ke hujung hayat.
